Report Manager

The Report Manager application contains the same reports available in Front Desk as well as additional reports that are unique to the Report Manager. The Report Manager provides the ability to set your report options all in one area. You can schedule reports to run automatically, manage your favorite reports list, and also see a sample report simply by hovering your cursor on the report's preview thumbnail. View multiple reports in one window with tabbed report browsing, and use the annotation tool to mark reports.

Windows - Click this button to change the view or to jump to a different tab.

  • By default, Tab View is turned on. Select Tab View to clear the tab view option and see the reports in their own windows within the Report Manager application window.

  • Select Close All Windows to close all open windows or tabs.
  • You can jump to the Start Page or a different tab/window by selecting it from the list.

Exit - Click this button to exit the Report Manager.

  1. Click Manage Favorite Reports to open the Manage Favorite Reports dialog box, where you can select the reports you want in your favorite reports list.
  2. Once you have selected your favorite reports, click Save. The reports appears in the My Favorites list in the left column of the Start Page.
  3. You can also add a report to your Favorites when you are setting the filter options. Click Add to Favorites in the report options to the right of the viewing area.
  4. If you are viewing a report that is already saved in your Favorites, you will instead have the option to Remove from Favorites.

  1. Click to auto-hide the navigation pane and make the viewing area larger. The navigation pane will hide when you place your cursor in the viewing area.
  2. To view the navigation pane, hover your cursor over Reports.
  3. Click the pin icon again to turn off the auto-hide feature.

Start typing a report name or part of a report name. The search results list will start to populate as you type.

When new reports become available from ChiroTouch, you can add them to your reports list by clicking Refresh List. There is no need to get an update from ChiroTouch.

  1. Click a report to view the filter options in the viewing pane.
  2. Click Open Report to view the report. The report will open in another tab or window.

When viewing a report, the toolbar appears above the report area. Most tools here will be very familiar to you. Additionally, you can hover your cursor over any of them to learn what they do. However, here is an explanation of some special tools:

  • Display Page Thumbnails in Sidebar – clicking this opens a navigation pane at the left containing thumbnails of all pages
  • Pan Mode – this allows you to "grab" the page using a mouse click and move the page around manually
  • Selection Mode – with this you can select a range of page text, copying it to your clipboard
  • Snapshot Mode – this lets you perform a screen capture of your report by clicking, holding, and moving the cursor to select a rectangular section of your view, copying it to your clipboard

Click Scheduled to manage the schedule service. Note that you must have administrative privileges on your machine in order to schedule reports.

When viewing a report, you can add the report to the schedule by clicking Schedule this Report... in the right column.

  1. When viewing a report, click Schedule this Report.... The report scheduler dialog box appears.
  2. Select Create a New Schedule for this Report.
  3. Type a name and description for the schedule.
  4. Click OK.
  5. In the Job Schedule section, select a frequency option.
  6. In the Job Reports section, type a file name. This is the name of the document that will be delivered to your folder.
  7. Select a format (Excel, Excel & PDF, or PDF).
  8. Select the Deliver To method as "Folder". The file will be delivered to the Scheduled Reports folder within the application (you will have the option to create new folders within the Scheduled Reports folder).
  9. Enter data in the Location field by clicking the text field to select an output folder. The default output folder is the Scheduled Reports folder. If you wish to create a new folder within the Scheduled Reports folder, click Create New Folder... and type a name for the new folder; then click OK. Select the desired output folder; then click OK.
  10. Click Save.
  1. When viewing a report, click Schedule this Report.... The report scheduler dialog box appears.
  2. Select Add this Report to an Existing Schedule.
  3. Select the schedule.
  4. Click OK.
  1. Select the report in the Scheduled section of the navigation pane. The filter options for the scheduled report appears in the viewing area.
  2. Set your filter options.
  3. You will be prompted to save the when you navigate away from the scheduled report. Click Save.
  1. Click the schedule in the Scheduled list.
  2. Clear the Active option.
  3. Click Save.

Printing and exporting options appear on the right side of the Start Page.

  • Click Print to print the report.
  • Click Export to PDF to open a PDF file of the report. You can then save this PDF to your computer.
  • Click Export to Excel to open the report data in Excel. You can then save this Excel file to your computer.
