Introduction to CT Sign-In
The CT Sign-In application enables your patients to self check in for their appointment. You can use the Sign-In application to automatically process your incoming patients, or process your patients manually through the ChiroTouch Front Desk application. CT Sign-In interacts directly with the patient and is designed to produce a more intuitive and customizable process of assigning a patient’s status as Arrived.
The Sign-In application works independently from the other applications in the suite. It communicates to the CT Announcer application when patients have arrived and is used most effectively in conjunction with other applications.
The specific tasks performed by the CT Sign-In application are:
- Identify the patient.
- Greet the patient.
- Place the patient in the waiting room queue, check the patient into an assigned room, or direct the patient to the front desk as appropriate.
The patient enters the office, approaches a kiosk-style computer and signs in using one of four methods:
- PIN
- Barcode
- Fingerprint scanner
- Swipe card
All of these methods may be used to give the patient his or her own choice of signing in; or these choices may be restricted based on the office’s available methods.

Additional Features
- If the office prefers to obtain a patient’s signature, the CT Sign-In application can capture the patient’s electronic signature before signing in.
- The system can be configured to link the patient to a family member’s account for billing or reference purposes.
- The open structure of the CT Sign-In application allows the administrators to place one sign-In computer at the front desk or place them in every room. Patients in one office may have to wait in an assigned waiting area, while patients in another office may wait wherever there is space available; therefore, it all depends on how the patient sign-in procedures in your office.
The CT Sign-In application interacts directly with the patient in many ways. Besides identifying and greeting the patient, the system may prompt the patient for a subjective analysis immediately upon signing in. Obtaining a subjective analysis at this stage expedites the office visit, as the doctor can view these notes before seeing the patient and can begin evaluating possible treatment options. The CT Sign-In application is linked to system alerts; therefore, if the patient has an outstanding issue, the application directs the patient to the front desk.
The swipe card reader, fingerprint scanner, barcode scanning device and electronic signature pad are third-party data capturing devices and must be purchased separately.
