Regarding High-Volume Text Messaging
This is something to keep in mind about InTouch SMS (text) messaging: SMS messages in your queue will be sent at the rate of one message per second. This applies to blast text messages and to any other text messages you have scheduled to go out during the day. Note that you can include as many recipients as you like for your blast campaign, and it will begin when you set it to begin, but for SMS messages it is a measured delivery that can take time to complete. This is in contrast to emails, which can all go out at once.
Therefore, you should consider if you want to send out a large blast of text messages, as they can delay the sending of your other messages, such as appointment reminders.
BEST PRACTICE: If a very large audience is to be used for a blast campaign of a non-urgent nature, either schedule the campaign to run late in the day so as to avoid interference with the day's reminder messages, or restrict the blast campaign to emails only.
